Senior Physician & Consultant Diabetologist Dr. G. D. Ramchandani, a leading Senior Physician and Diabetologist in Rajasthan, completed his M.D. in Internal Medicine in 1993 from SMS Medical College Jaipur. He did his Post Graduate Diploma in Diabetes Management (PGDDM) Middlesex University London UK, Post Graduate Program in Diabetology by Johns Hopkins University Baltimore USA , Practical Diabetology Course by STENO Education Center Denmark and Joslin International Professional Education Certificate Course from JOSLIN DIABETES CENTER, Harvard Medical School Boston, USA. For the past 30 years, his keen field of interest and practice has been Diabetes and he has been working for Prevention, Education & Awareness programs of Diabetes.

Supporting T1 Diabetes and Improving Lives

Welcome to DOST Diabetic Childcare Society, a non-governmental organization based in Kota, Rajasthan, India. The T1D DOST aims to support, enhance, and empower the lives of children and families living with the incurable Type 1 Diabetes. We raise awareness by providing multiple support and mentoring programs, information, and resources about Type 1 Diabetes to individuals and their families. We aim to create a generation of young people with Type 1 Diabetes who understand, accept, and manage their condition responsibly. The treatment of Type 1 Diabetes is a challenging issue in India. T1D DOST has been working for underprivileged T1D children since 2008 and is supporting more than 450 underprivileged Type 1 Diabetes children, adolescents, and adults from almost half of Rajasthan state and nearby Madhya Pradesh state of India. Seventy percent of these children belong to below poverty line families and reside in rural areas where road connectivity and electricity supplies are not regular. Out of these, 55–60% are female patients

Education, Awareness, and Motivation are promoted through camps, family and fun day events, and fellowship programs. No child should die due to a lack of insulin, monitoring devices, knowledge, education, awareness or support.

Create a community that understands the impact of type 1 diabetes has on daily life. To create a world that understands the impact of type1 diabetes on the individuals and their families. Developing the confidence in the individual ability to manage life with diabetes successfully.

DOST Model

Touching and free treatment of the lives of 500+ children living with Type 1 Diabetes across 15+ districts and 100+ tehsils, reaching deep into the small villages of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

We provide more than just free supplies — we deliver education, empowerment and emotional support about T1D , and the strength to fight daily challenges.

Our Mission:

No child with Type 1 Diabetes should ever lose their life due to lack of insulin, monitoring devices or education.

Support Provided by us

1.Providing all supplies (including Glucometer, Glucostips, Insulin, Syringes, Lancets) to poor Type 1 Diabetic Children,
2.Keeping Insulin at proper temperature during summer weather especially in rural area where Refrigerator is not available or remote areas where electricity facilities is not available
3.Educating entire family of Type 1 Diabetic Child about Blood Glucose Monitoring Insulin Injection Technique, Rotation, Hypoglycemia ets especially uneducated families.
